Grades 2 - 6 (with physical/medical challenges)

Dancing Dreams adaptive classes are open to boys and girls ages 7 - 12 with physical and medical challenges that preclude them from participating in “community” dance classes. This class will be taught by a physical therapist and/or occupational therapist which enables them to adapt activities to meet the unique needs of each dancer. Dancers are exposed to ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop dance styles. Every dancer is assigned a high school “Helper” for assistance. High school students seeking community service opportunities are invited to volunteer as helpers in this program. Please contact the children’s department for more information.

*When registering for our programs, please count only the children attending when asked for the number of people attending. This helps us ensure we have enough materials for each child. Children will be placed in programs based on their age/grade, regardless of their ability.

*Photographs and video footage taken during programs may be used for library publicity. Please tell library staff if you do not want a photo taken of you or your child.
